Recycled necklace

Do you still remember this craft from school, when you have to to roll strips of magazines on a pencil to make paper beads. I would like to share the easiest and quickest technique to make paper beads or I called it paper straw.

PAPER BEADS

Materials:

• Magazines

• Pencil / bamboo skewer/ chopstick

• Glue

• Scissors

Instructions:

• Cut magazine paper into 2 inch wide strips.

• Apply glue along the stip

• Set a chopstick or pencil at a 45 degree angle at one end of the strip. Roll the paper around the stick, overlapping it with each wrap. Slide the paper off the stick and continue rolling. Secure it with glue

• Cut the straw about 1 inch to make paper beads. You can make any size that you want and it will be fun to explore different sizes.

• To make a necklace, thread paper beads, beads and cardboard.
